The speed made in the clearing of the site and the erection of the present apartment has been almost unparalleled in the history of Indianapolis.

The forced ventilation usins a large electric fan on the roof completely changes the air in each kitchen often enough to prevent odors from entering other rooms.

The dressing rooms off the baths are finished with a complete built-in wardrobe. Closet space is very amply provided. Each apartment also is furnished with a roller bed. The building is heated by a vapor system and hot water is available at all times. There are eight apartments on each floor, two containing a large living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bath; two with living room, dinette and kitchenette, bedroom and bath: four with large living room in which a roller bed is supplied, dinette and kitchenette, bath and dressing room.

Best of Properties. The owner of the building, the Marleigh Realty Company, of which F. R. Buck is president and Paul O. Bigler is secretary, have found the Marleigh apartment a building which far exceeds any of the several others which they own and operate.

Another great feature in the erection of buildings such as the Marleigh apartment, which the company has worked out, is the whole-hearted cooperation of those engaged in the project. The Marleigh apartment stands back thirty-five feet from the newly-widened portion of Delaware street. The building is of reinforced concrete trimmed with Indiana limestone and faced with brick.

The building is entered through an attractive wrought iron gate into a vestibule containing the mail boxes and telephones to the apartments, and an electrically operated lock connected with each apartment permits the entrance to the building of only those who have the permission of the tenants. Off the first floor corridor an attractive swinging door opens into the automatic elevator which communicates with the six floors and basement. The basement is arranged with fireproof storage space, a large laundry and an attractive apartment for the custodian.

The walls of the arched corridors on the apartment floor are finished in a delicate texture of colored interior plaster. The floors are covered full width with beautiful carpet, adding greatly to the quiet and restful atmosphere. The. entrance to each apartment is closed by a massive solid panel door, numbered with attractive statuary bronze numerals. The floors of the apartments are laid with cellized oak block flooring on the concrete slab, greatly enhancing the beauty of the apartment.

Walls of the living rooms are decorated in a pleasing tiffany of umbers and browns over a background of old ivory. The bedrooms finished with the latest designs of bedroom wall paper. The baths are equipped with tub and complete shower, tile wainscot and floor in black and white. A vitreous china pedestal lavatory of an attractive design has also been used. The designing of our buildings is given a great deal of study and original ideas are developed and embodied in the plans anticipating the tenants' needs and making them more desirable, and thereby benefitting the owners. The systematic co-operation of all mechanics working on the construction of our buildings enables us to attain a maximum speed at a minimum cost.

Tenants can be assured of occupancy at a fixed date and owners gain additional income. Our wide experience in pleasing tenants and a knowledge of their tastes and just what they will pay for an ideal apartment puts us in position to design and build for owners at a pre-deterniined cost and assuring an exact income. These known facts are essential to any successful financial project. The maintaining and operating of our building is a neglible factor. The materials we use are practically indestructible, except for such trim and decoration as are necessary to-make the buildings pleasing and homelike.
