Patterson, 60 years old, died yesterday in his home at 592S Rosslyn Avenue. For the last i i months he had been a sales man at Ogle Buick Inc. and previously he was sales man ager at Monarch Buick Com pany Inc. A native of Looeootee. Mr.

Patterson resided in Indian apohs 32 years. He was member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St, John Catholic Church at Loogootee, with burial in the church cemetery. Survivors include the wid ow, Mrs.

Lecilia Patterson and two brothers, Otis Patter' son of Corpus Christi. Tex. and Hinton Patterson of Mid dletown, O. Friends may call at the Kirby Mortuary here until noon tomorrow and later at the Miller Funeral Home, Loo gootee. Chester A.

Whisman Chester A. Whisman, 69 years old, general foreman for the Railway Express Agency for 45 years, died yesterday in his home, 1525 North La Salle Street. Born in Kentucky, Mr. Whisman had been a resident of Indianapolis for 55 years, He retired from his position with the express agency in 1958 and for three years was crossing guard at Public School No. 54.

He was a mem ber of Brookside Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Jor dan Funeral Home, with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery. Survivors include the wi dow, Mae Whisman; two sons, Norman R. and Kenneth M.

Whisman, both of Indianapolis; a brother, Ray Whisman of Dayton, a sister, Mrs. Mary Shackleford of Campton, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pearl E.Arndt Funeral services for Pearl E. Arndt, 71 years old, a retired plumber, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the McCord Funeral Home at Oaklandon, with burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Arndt resided at 8249 Bash Street, Castleton. He died Friday in his home. He was a native of London, and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include the wid Mrs.

Daisy Arndt; five daughters, Mrs. Edward Bowman, Mrs. William Crawford, Mrs. Robert Beetem, Mrs Luther Sevier and Mrs. Leah Arndt; four sons, Joseph William Richard G.

and Steven Arndt, all of Indian apolis, and 11 grandchildren Steve Illy Steve Illy, 78 years old. 1551 Hoyt Avenue, died yes terday in St. Vincent's Hos pital. He was born in Austria and resided in Indianapolis most his life. He was employed a loading dock worker by New York Central Rail tu years and was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Wilson Chapel of the Chimes with burial in Mem Park Cemetery. Survivors include two sons. Steve Illy and Frank Illy; daughter, Mrs. Margaret Lerock, all of Indianapolis grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Coburn died Tfiuisday in St. Francis Hospital. He was born at Mount Sterling, and resided in Indianapolis 25 years. He was employed as a carpenter by the Lathrop Construction Company. Survivors include the widow, Mrs.

Mrs. McQuiston Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta McQuiston, 69 years old. R.R. 12, Indianapolis, will be held at 8:15 a.m.

John G. Williams; a son, Richard E. McCreary Jr. of Weismar, a sister, Mrs. Clay Aldridge of Winchester, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Thomas Rohn Danville, Ind. (Spl.) Thomas Rohn. 79 years old, R.R. 2, Danville, a retired Advance hardware store owner and resident of Boone County most tf his Life, died yesterday in his home. Mr.

Rohn moved to Hendricks County following his retirement in 1937. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Baker Funeral Home at Danville, with burial in the lOOF Cemetery at Jamestown. Suvivors includa the widow, Mrs.

Gertrude Rohn; a son, William Rohn of Danville; two) daughters, Mrs. William Heath of Lebanon and Mrs. Merrill C. Caldwell of Advance, and five grandchildren. C.

O. Hoffmann, Exca va I int Firm Official, Dies Christian O. (Chris) Hoffmann, 71 years old, secretary-treasurer of John Hoffman Sons a family-operated excavating firm, died yesterday in his home at 1214 North" Hawthorne Lane, Mr. Hoffmann joined the firm in 1936. He was a drafts man for the former Atlas Engine Works 20 years.

A member of Brightwood Methodist Church, Mr. Hoffmann was a member of Veritas Masonic Lodge No. 608, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters, Catling Gun Club, was captain of Murat Gun Club, a director of the Uniform Bodies Club and a member of Murat 20 5 Club. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Harry W.

Moore Arlington Chapel, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Charlotte Hoffmann; two sisters Mrs. Hazel Grimes of Indianapolis and Mrs. Marie Fisher of Greenfield, and four brothers, Harvey Howard Virgil L.

Herrmann Funeral Home, with entomb ment in Washington Park Mausoleum. Mr. Thomas, who died Fri day in Methodist Hospital, operated the Happy Hollow Trailer Lodge since 1942. A native of Bloom, he resided in Indianapolis 41 years. Survivors include the wid ow, Mrs.

Gertrude M. Thomas; two daughters, Mrs. loanne VanWinkle of Lafayette and Mrs. Patricia Martindale of Fort Wayne; his mother, Mrs. Nettie B.

Elliott Nelson E. Elliott, 87 years old. a retired assembler for the Thomas and Skinner steel products company, died yesterday in a local nursing home. Mr. Elliott resided at 1205 South Villa Avenue.

He retired 1949. A native of Fort Wayne, he resided in Indianapolis 70 years. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Harry Moore Peace Chapel. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Edwin E. Elliott of Indianapolis, and four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Fred IV. Yorger Fred W. Yorger.

78 ears old. died yesterday in his home 3124 West 16th Street. He formerly was a butcher, but had operated his own peony gardens at 3100 West 16th Street the last 20 years. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Mr. Yorger was a member of the Knights of Pythias.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Stevens Chapel of the Flowers. Burial will be in Crown Hill Ceme-terv Survivors include two sons. all of Indianapolis, and six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. tuary.

Garrettson, Doctor's Widow, Dies In Hospital Mrs. Jessie E. Garrettson, 74 years old, 4534 Washington Boulevard, died yesterday in Community Hospital. Born at Crawfordsville, Mrs. Garrettson was a resident of Indianapolis 60 years.

She was the widow of Dr. John A. Gar an Indianapolis ear-nose-throat specialist who died in 1944. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She also was a member of the board of the Flower Mission Clinic and a charter member of the clinic's 1908 Club.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Flanner Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. A sister, Mrs. Guy A.

Steele of Fort Wayne, is the only immediate survivor. William E. llrobst Noblesville, Ind. (Spl.) Services for William E. Brobst, 76 years old, Westfield, who died Friday in Riverview Hospital here, will be held at 10 a.m.

Monday in the Coal trin Funeral Home at Nobles ville. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. Mr. Brobst formerly oper ated a chain of restaurants In Indianapolis and Louisville, Ky. A native of Howard County, he lived in Hamilton County 47 years.

He was a member of the Christian Church, Masonic and Elks lodges and Murat Shrine. Survivors include the wid ow, Lenna E. Brobst; a son, William E. Brobst and a daughter, Mrs. Martha L.

Hecht, both of Nblesville, two grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Mrs. Dora Yuryan Lebanon, Ind. (Spl.) Fu neral services for Mrs. Dora May Yaryan, 74 years old, a Thorntown resident since 1952 who died Friday in Witham Hospital here, will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Monday in the Russell and Hitch Funeral Home at Thorntown. She was a mery County native and lived many years in the Waveland com munity.
