MAY 2 lr sou ti, s(im; Purdue Association Sets 'Spring Brunch Uniled Fund Captains Will Be Instructed Air Of Pageantry Felt In '500' Events The Purdue Women's Association of Indianapolis has sc heduled a "Spring Brunch" from 10 o'clock until noon Saturday in Holcomb Garden House, Butler University. Bowen, 8161 Roscmeade lane, treasurer. .1 Mrs. Harold C. Buell will conduct an instructional meeting today for cap. tains of the United Fund's Residential Division.

Mrs, Buell is chairman of the 1959 campaign. The meet, ing will begin at 9:30 o'clock in the L. S. Ayres Co. auditorium.

Coffee will be served after the session, and Mrs. lone Smith will give an illustrated fashion talk. New officers to be introduced are Mrs. Donald Riley, president; Mrs. Lester Leonard, vice-president, and Mrs.

Robert Baker, secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Malcolm Varner is chairman of the event. Assisting her are Mrs. Bernard King, Mrs. F.

G. Phillips Mrs. Charles Knue and Mrs. Thelma Roberts. Mis.

John Naylor of Cleveland in the Ryder home at 5075 Norwaldo Avenue for the race and the week end. MR. AND MRS. Martin r. (ienbhardt, 78.r0 Meadow-brook Drive, will have as their home guests Mr, and Mrs.

Edward Smith of Chicago. The Smiths will attend the Governor's Reception, Buffet and Invitational Ball with the Geb-hardts and Mr. and Mrs. James C. Courtney.

AT THE RACE together will he Mr, and Mrs. Hal T. Benham and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Charron.

FOR Till-; Governor's Reception, Mr. and Mrs. J. Fletcher Cross will have as their guests Mr, and Mrs, F.lmer S. Doriot and Mr.

and Mrs. Waller F. Mo Cormitk. Also in the Crops' party will be Mr. and Mrs, Frank Atkins and Mrs.

Francis Blair. Mr. and Mrs. Atkins will entertain the group at a cocktail party in their home, 3536 North Meridian Street, before attending the reception. MR.

AND MRS. Thil Mc-Kinney are taking a party Honored guest will be Professor Amy Bloye, former head of the foods and nutrition in the School of Home Economics. Others attending from the campus will be Dr. Kathleen A. Johnston, head of equipment and family housing; Miss Mary Louise Foster of the home management and family economics department, and Miss Margaret Beeman, assistant to the dean.

-A Race Day events, with their parties in private homes and tlubs, and the pomp and circumstances of the Festival week-end celebrations are taking on the color and pageantry of a Triumph of one of the Roman Caesars, Almost every country club will have a dance Rare Day Nifiht, and will borrow a checkered-flag decor for their themes. Westchester Country Club members and their out-of-town guests will gather for the annual Memorial Day Dance, beginning with hors d'oeuvres at 8:30 o'clock. Hosts for the dance will be Mr. and Mrs. William S.

Cohen, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Cohen, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Weiss and Mr.

and Mrs. Nathan Stein. AMONG THOSE who will be having out of town guests for the race are Mr. and Mrs. Henry C.

and Mrs. Fdsvard Stabler of Oak Park, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sturm of Chicago. In the Dollmans' box at the race, in addition to their house guests, will be Mr.

and Mrs. John Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Russel White. The Bakers will entertain the party for cocktails in their home at 8765 Washington Boulevard, West Drive, May 2D before attending the "Running Wild" dance at the Highland Country Club.

MR. AND MRS, E. M. Howard, 6225 North Sherman Drive, will have as their house guests for the race over the holiday, Mr. and Mrs.

Worth Probst of Fayetteville, N.Y., formerly of Brendonwood. The Probsts will be accompanied by their daughter, Miss Tina Probst, and their son, Tay Probst. MRS. GEORGE E. Gertz was elected president of the Mothers Club of Phi Delta Thcta Fraternity at Purdue University during Mother's Day week end on the West Lafayette campus.

Mrs. Gertz resides at 6409 Central Avenue. Other officers are Mrs. R. W.

Schmidt of West Lafa-yette, vice-president; Mrs. Carl F. Rohr, 318 East 64th '4 Hi, don't miss the popular Mrs. Goodin Elected By Ballet Society Mrs. John D.
