30, 18 OBITUARIES Mrs. Rebecca Hodges Dies; Social Leader A memorial service for Mrs. Rebecca Hodges, 92, 1410 North Delaware Street, widow of Dr. Fletcher Hodges, and. leader in Indianapolis social circles, will be held in September in St.

Paul's Episcopal Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hodges, a resident of the Propylaeum the last eight died Monday while visyears, iting her daughter at East Lansing, Mich. BORN Rebecca Traill Andrews at Natick, Mass.

Mrs. Hodges first came to Indianapolis in 1902 to teach physical training at the old Girls Classical School. An active woman with a zest for life unusual for a person her age, Mrs. Hodges was fiercely proud of her background that included being a descendant of a SOcalled New England witch. On the occasion of her 80th birthday she remarked, "Now that I am 80 I feel that I ought to be serene and tranquil, but I'm not.

I don't understand it. Maybe its those New England witches I'm descended from." A member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Indiana, Mrs. Hodges was the only person to serve three terms as its president. She was the organization's honorary president. SHE WAS a 65-year member of the Propylaeum, served as its president and -president several times.

Other memberships included the Progressive Club, Gen. of thur St. Clair Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Indiana Society of Mrs. Faye Lamson Services for Mrs. Faye H.

Lamson, 77, Indianapolis, widow of Phillip E. Lamson, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, A native of Cowden, Ill. and an Indianapolis resident 43 years, she died Monday in St. Francis Hospital.

Mrs. Lamson had been chief deputy assessor of Warren Township for 30 years. She was a member of Irvington Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Keith Otto, and Miss Kathryn Lamson, both of Indianapolis and a son, Col.

Thomas Lamson, of the United States Army Medical Corps, stationed in Europe. let Mrs. Lena Glass Mrs. Lena Azine Glass, 80, 3710 North Meridian Street, widow of William H. Glass, died yesterday in her home.

A native of Duluth, and an Indianapolis resident 16 years, she had owned a women's dress store at Houghton, 25 years. Mrs. Glass was a member of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, Temple Sisterhood, White Cross Guild and the National Council of Jewish Women and was an honorary member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Houghton. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Aaron-Ruben Nelson Meridian Hills Mortuary, with burial in Indianapolis Hebrew Cemetery South.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Samuel Kroot of Indianapolis, and a son, Alfred Glass of Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Delia Haase Mrs. Delia Haase, 86, 11850 Brookville Road, widow of Edward Haase, died yesterday in her residence.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Meyers Funeral Home at Batesville with burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Huntersville. Mrs. Ross McDowell Services for Mrs.

Ross (Flora McDowell, 59, 1933 who died Friday in Broadway, Marion County General Hospital, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Southern Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday in Williams Funeral Home. A native of LaFlora County, Mrs.

McDowell was an Indianapolis resident 21 years. She had been employed as a pastry cook at the Country Club of Indianapolis. Survivors other than the husband include a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Millbrook; a son, Horace McDowell, and the father, Eli Carter, all of Indianapolis. Otho B.

Finn Services for Otho B. Finn, 99. 3262 Ruckle Street, will be held Thursday in the CowherdParrott Funeral Home, Greensburg, with burial in Maple Hill Church Cemetery there. A native of Metcalf County, Kentucky, and an Indianapolis resident for five years, he died Monday in a local nursing home. Mr.

Finn opened the first postoffice at Mell, in the general store that he owned there. He farmed at one time, and during another period operated a drug store. He lived at various times in Florida and in different sections of Kentucky. He farmed near Bedford until coming to Indianapolis. Sahm was an Indianapolis resident most of his life. He was employed as a plasterer for the old Veahling Sons Lathing and Plastering Company and Sam McGarvey Company, retiring 15 years ago. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars Barracks 1088. Services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the Little and Sons Beech Grove Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m.

Grace F. Perry, 64, 8438 Browning Drive, widow of Don C. Perry, died yesterday in St. Francis Hospital. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Mrs.

Perry was a member of Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Jack Perry of Indianapolis, and a sister, Mrs. Paul Tillman of Indianapolis. Miss Dorothy Carney Miss Dorothy M. Carney, 72, died yesterday in a local nursing home, where she had lived the last five years. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, she worked as a seamstress in the alterations department of L.

Thursday in Summers Funeral Chapel, with burial in New Crown Cemetery. She died Sunday in Marion County General Hospital. Born at Hardinsburg, she lived here 65 years and was the first cook at Emmerich Manual High School. She was the widow of Frank Scruggs and a member of Barnes United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Lawrence Clayton of Philadelphia, Pa.

STAR STATE REPORT Anderson, Ind. Services for Gene Bales, 18, Anderson, co-captain of last year's Anderson High School football team, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the North Anderson Church of God. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was found dead late Monday hanging from a utility pole on which he was helping install equipment for the General Electric Cablevision Company.

Madison County Coroner Lonnie Weston said it appears an electrical shock rendered him unconscious and he strangled on the harness holding him to the pole. Bales also was a fullback on the 1972 football team. was graduated from the high school last spring. Survivors include the parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Frank E. 2d Body Found In Wreckage Of Broadway Hotel New York (UPI) Rescue workers uncovered the body yesterday of the second victim in last week's collapse of the Broadway Central Hotel. The squad also found a dog -the 10th live animal found in the wreckage since the hotel fell last Friday. A four-man buildings department board of inquiry began taking testimony in a closed meeting on the cause of the collapse in which at least two persons died. Four other hotel residents remained missing.

Mrs. Hodges was a member of the Mendelssohn Choir, later the Symphonic Choir, in the 1930s under the direction of Fabien Sevitzky, conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra from 1937 to 1955. DURING World War I she taught physical education at the former Tudor Hall School. A favorite memory of was her failure to be accepted by the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She subsequently spent the war years as a model with L.
