1, Sunman. Henry Nordstrom, 64, Gary, Mrs. Pauline Curley, 62, Terre Haute. Robert G. Ramos, 29, Gary, identified by police as a member of the Sin City Disciples street gang in Gary, was killed late Thursday when his motorcycle struck the engine of a Penn Central Railroad train in Gary, The engineer told police the crossing gates were down and the flashers were working, but.

Ramos tried to drive around the gates when the vehicle struck the engine. A passenger on the motorcycle was injured. Jerry A. Smith Jerry A. Smith, 28, R.R.

3, Decatur, was killed yesterday when his motorcycle struck a pickup truck broadside on an Adams County road 4 miles east of here. OBITUARIES Mrs. Alva P. Wilson Dies; Rites Monday Services for Mrs. Flora a Bunch Wilson, 63, 5144 Rosslyn Avenue, will be held at 10 a.m.

Monday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson, co-owner with her late husband, Harold Bunch, of Bunch Auto Parts Store at Brownsburg, died Thursday at home. A native of Kentucky, she had lived in Indianapolis 50 years. Survivors include the husband, Alva P.

Wilson; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Fox of Butler, and a son, Michael Bunch of Brownsburg. Loren Gillette Services for Loren F. lette, 85, 8813 Madison Avenue, will be held at 11 a.m. today in N.

F. Chance Funeral Home, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Gillette, a carpenter supervisor for 18 years with Huber, Hunt and Nichols died Tuesday in University Heights Hospital. A resident of Indianapolis 34 years and a member of University Heights United Methodist Church and Carpenters' Union Local 60, he in 1961.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Leone Gillette: sons and four daughters. James L. Adams James L. (Tiny) Adams, 37, -1317 Burdsal Parkway, a selfemployed jazz musician, died yesterday in Marion County General Hospital.

He played the string bass for 20 years, and played with several local bands. He was al lifelong resident of Indianapolis. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Summers Funeral Chapel, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Survivors include the mother, Mrs.

Fred D. Batts Services for Fred D. Batts, 78, 2151 Martindale Avenue, a retired worker, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Joshua Baptist Church, followed by burial in New Crown Cemetery. He died Thursday in Methodist Hospital.

Lauber 16, R.R. 1, Sunman, was killed yesterday when his car ran off a Ripley County road south- Policeman Cab Driving Is Attacked Policeman Cab An off-duty policeman, working as a driver for Red Cab was beaten by three youths last night about a week after he arrested two women for armed robbery in his cab. The policeman, Dan L. Grisell, an instructor in a Northside sector, is one of 11 police personnel hired by the cab company in an effort to curb cab holdups.

GRISELL told investigators that he drove two men to the 800 0 block of Blake Street, where they told him they would be back in a moment. After waiting several minutes, Grisell said he followed the men into the Lockefield Gardens Apartment complex, but returned to his cab when he was unable to locate them. Upon returning, Grisell said, three youths were near his cab and beat him as he tried to get into the cab. He was treated for multiple bruises at Marion County General Hospital and released. GRISELL, who has been working as a driver in his offduty hours since July 18, arrested two women on July 22 after they held a tear gas gun to his head and demanded his wallet.

Strike Seen As 'Disaster' The impact of a nation-wide steel strike longer than 30 days would be "disastrous" to Indiana's economy, State Budget Director Thomas H. Richmond Mayor Reports On $3,950,790 Budget Richmond, Ind. -Mayor ron E. Klute announced yesterday that a budget of $3,950,790 for Richmond in 1972 will be sent to the common council Monday. The mayor said the budget does not reflect any increase in the civil city's tax rate of $2.30. THE MAYOR said conditions taken into consideration during the preparation of the budget included the decline in the amount of money to be received as a dividend from the Richmond Power and Light, the fact that there is unemployment for many citizens and that others are working shorter hours, and the large increases in prices and wages over the past year.

TKE To Begin Work On New Headquarters Groundbreaking ceremonies for a $250,000 building to house the international headquarters of Tau Kappa Epsilon social fraternity will be held at 1 p.m. today in the College Park complex at 86th Stret and Mercer Road.
