36. INDIANAPOLIS STARRichard Landrigan Fred Rost OBITUARIES George C. Albrecht George C. Albrecht, 94, Indianapolis, died Friday in Methodist Hospital. He was manager in the rug and drapery department for William H.

Block Co. downtown several years, and also owned and operated G.C. Albrecht Rug and Drapery Co. for 20 years until 1958. Born in Hamilton, Ohio, he lived here most of his life and was a member of Hamilton Masonic Lodge 17 and American Legion Post 186.

He was an Army veteran of World War I. will be no services. Friends call from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary.

Survivors include his wife, Lela J. Albrecht. Mabel M. Alyea Greenfield, Ind. Mabel M.

Alyea, 85, Greenfield, a retired timekeeper for Diamond Chain Co. in Indianapolis, died Friday in Hancock Memorial Hospital here. A native of Hancock County, she was a member of Greenfield Senior Citizens. Services will held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Pasco Memorial Mortuary here, where friends may call from 7 p.m.

to 9 p.m. today and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday. Survivors include a sister, Helen Arnold, and a brother, Homer Alyea. Pauline Bencik Pauline Bencik. 65, Indianapolis, died Friday in Wishard Memorial Hospital. She was a Republican precinct committeewoman for 30 years.

She was a delicatessen employee at Kroger Co. for 17 years until 1968 and then worked in voter registration at the City-County Building for 14 years, retiring in 1 1982. She lived here most of her life and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Stevens Chapel of the Flowers and at 10 a.m.

in the church. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday in the mortuary. She was the widow of Edward Bencik.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Boylan and Virginia McMann; a son. Charles McMann; two stepdaughters, Anna Smith and Marge Dyke; and two stepsons, David and Edward Bencik Jr. Ruth V. Brown Ruth Virginia Brown, 72, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, died Friday in Community Hospital. She was a block operator for Penn Central Railroad 33 years, retiring in 1977.

She was a member of Railroad Block Operators Union, Queen Esther Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, where calling will be after 2 p.m. Sunday. Survivors include a brother, Lee Brown, and a sister, Alice Brown.

Morris Marer dies; founded flower shop Morris Marer, 90, founder of Marer Flower Shop, died Friday in his home. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he founded the flower shop in 1919, owning and operating it many years. He was a member of Congregation Beth el Zedeck, B'nai B'rith Lodge 58.

Survivors include two daughters, Kitty Davis and Karen Petree. Carl F. McBride Carl F. McBride, 72, Venice, formerly of Indianapolis, died Feb. 18 in Venice Hospital.

He was the former owner of the Butler Inn here. Born here, he lived in Florida for 10 years. He was a member of Prospect Masonic Lodge and Moose Lodge in Rochester, Ind. Survivors include his wife, Mary Francis McBride, and a son, James R. McBride.

Charles E. Morgason Waldron, Ind. Services for Charles E. Morgason, 61, a lifelong Waldron resident, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Glenn E.

George Funeral Home in St. Paul, where friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Mr.

Morgason died Thursday in Community Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a retired employee of Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors Corp. in Indianapolis. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Waldron Baptist Church, Waldron Community Club, 83rd Infantry Division Association and the Eagles Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts in Shelbyville. Hazel D. Pollard Hazel D. Pollard. 73, Oaklandon, died Friday in her home. She was employed eight years by Daughtery's Wedding World, retiring in 1973.

Born in Fortville, she lived in the Oaklandon area most of her life. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Appleget Lawrence Mortuary, where friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m.

She died Thursday in University Heights Hospital. She was a teacher at School 47. Born in Sayre, she lived in Brownsburg for 15 years and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Phi Delta Kappa and Indiana School Women's Club. New York (UPI) Henry J. Taylor, former U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and veteran foreign correspondent and columnist for Scripps-Howard newspapers and United Feature Syndicate, died Friday at his home. He was 81. "He died peacefully during the Rev.

Harley Smith Washington, Ind. The Rev. Harley Smith, 95, Washington, formerly of Indianapolis, died Friday in his home. He was a retired minister for the Church of God. Born in Mitchell, he lived in Washington four years.
