Brauns, 62, 5345 East 77th Street, vice-president in charge of the claims department for Protective Insurance Company, died yesterday in Methodist Hospital. A native of Evansville, he was a resident of Indianapolis and an employe of the company for 10 years. He was a chartered property and casualty underwriter and was a former senior claims executive for American States Insurance Company of Indianapolis.

HE ALSO had been employed by the Stuyvesant Insurance Company of Allentown, and American Automobile Insurance Company of St. Louis. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Indiana Bar Association and had been admitted to practice before Federal Courts. He was a member and past president of the National Theft Prevention Association and was a member of the Elks Lodge. HE WAS A 1935 graduate of Purdue University and a 1938 graduate of the Indiana University School of Law.

Services will be held at 1 Mrs. Lida F. Wade Harold Van Sickle Dies; Retired Business Owner Services for Harold E. Van Sickle, 77, retired grain company and petroleum products business owner, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Old Bethel United Methodist Church, of which he was a member.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel. Mr. Van Sickle died Sunday in Community Hospital.

He was a lifelong Indianapolis area resident and had owned and operated the former Lawrence Coal Grain Co. 35 years and the former Wilson Petroleum Products Company six years, retiring in 1966. Mr. Van Sickle was a 50-year member of Mystic Circle Masonic Lodge and was a member of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine and Lawrence Sertoma Club. He also was a trustee William O.

Shaw Services for William O. Shaw, 63, who died Sunday in his home at 8817 West Washington Street, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bridgeport Church of the Nazarene, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 2 p.m.

Mr. Haskins was a core maker with the Prox at Terre Haute 42 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and Prince Hall Masonic Lodge. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Summers Funeral Chapel, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hallie Haskins, and daughter, Mrs. Martha Smith of Indianapolis. George A. Baire George A.

Baire, 62, 423 Ketcham Street, died yesterday in St. Vincent Hospital. He was born at Bean Station, 3 and had lived here 35 years. Mr. Baire was employed in the heat treatment department of Link Belt Division of FMC Corporation 22 years, retiring in 1972.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home at Plainfield, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery at Plainfield. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Odie Baire; son, George L. Baire of Indianapolis; and daughter, Mrs.

Mrs. Lida F. Wade, 56, 1913 South Grant Avenue, widow of Henry C. Wade, died yesterday in her home. She was a lifelong Indianapolis resident.

Ex-Allison Workman Supervisor Dies; Warren 0. (Jack) Workman, 71, R.R. 1, Nineveh, a former Indianapolis resident, died yesterday in a Franklin Nursing Home. He had lived in Indianapolis until moving to Nineveh in 1965. Mr.

Workman was supervisor of purchasing and foundry control at what is now Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors Corporation for 22 years before retiring in 1965. He had owned and operated the old Workman's Variety Store at Lyndhurst Drive and Rockville Road from 1934 to 1942. He was a member of the West Park Christian Church. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Conkle Speedway Funeral with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Paulson Chu Services for Paulson Chu, 49, 2258 North Meridian Street, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary, with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery. Mr. Chu died Sunday in Methodist Hospital. He was born in China and had lived here three years.

He was a cook with Jong Mea Restaurant the last two years. Mr. Chu attended SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral. Survivors include his widow, Mrs.

Chaihong Chu. Mrs. Virgil Stone Mrs. Virgil W. (Lucille Stone, 69, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, died yesterday in Methodist Hospital.

Eiler, 68, died yesterday in his home at 5112 North Ralston Avenue. He was born at Flora and lived here 54 years. Mr. Eiler was a purchasing agent with Hittle Machine Tool Company 24 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis Jazz Club, and Ancient-Landmarks Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Indianapolis Camera Club.

He was a former official photographer for the Civic Theater of Indianapolis. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, with cremation to follow. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eloise Eiler, and a daughter, Mrs.

He had lived here most of his life and was an architect and draftsman with Circle City Glass Corporation five years, retiring in 1969. Before that he was employed with StewartCarey Inc. of Indiana 20 years. An Army veteran of World War Mr. Hawkins was a member of Barracks 1088, Veterans of World War I.
