Mr. Harwell died Sunday in a local nursing home. He was born in Giles County, and had lived here 20 years. He was a sandblaster with several city construction companies. Mr.

Mr. Reid was killed about 3:40 a.m. Sunday in a two-car collision at Meridian Street and Kessler Boulevard, East Drive. He was born at Honolulu, Hawaii, and had lived here most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Lawrence Central High School.

While at Butler Mr. Reid was the city editor of the Collegian newspaper. He also won the Howard Caldwell Award, given to the outstanding senior in the Sigma Chi chapter at the school. He was a member of the Blue Key Honorary for Men and Sigma Delta Chi Journalism Honorary Society. For the last 1 years, he was a waiter with Jolly Ox Restaurant, 7020 East 21st Street.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. Reid, and three brothers, Robert Philip R. and Christopher D.

Reid, all of Indianapolis. Leon H. Reid Leon H. Reid, 68, 6506 Julian Avenue, a retired carpenter for the George Bahre Company, died yesterday in Community Hospital. A native of Winchester, he was a resident of Indianapolis about 28 years.

He was a member of the Carpenters Union and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Moore and Kirk Irvington Chapel and 10 a.m. in the church. Burial arrangements are pending.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Susan M. Reid; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Sue Schaefer of Winchester, and a stepson, Claude E. Bryant of Indianapolis.

Harry Hunger Services for Harry G. Hunger, 82, will be held at 3 p.m. today in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Mr. Hunger died Saturday in Winona Memorial Hospital.

He was born at Madison, and had lived here 60 years. He was employed in the parts department of Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors Corporation 19 years, retiring in 1961. Mr. Hunger was an Army veteran of World War I and a member cf Broad Ripple American Legion Post 312 and SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral.

Funeral Wed Most Workers Now Insured It is estimated that of the current labor force of 93 million men and women, about one out of every 18' persons will be disabled this year seriously enough to keep them from working. Most of them will have coverage. At the end of 1974, about 63 million workers had short-term disability protection (for periods up to two years), and 17 million had long-term policies. He was a senior at Ball State and was a production technician for the Ball State Daily News newspaper. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, Blue Key honorary for men, Phi Sigma Alpha honorary for political scientists, Kappa Tau Alpha academic honorary for journalists and was a Hoosier Scholar from 1972 through this school year.

Mr. Collier was a 1972 graduate of Warren Central High School. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Elbert Romeril Dies; Ex-Police Sergeant Services for Elbert F. Romeril, 75, a retired police sergeant, will be held at 1 p.m.

Wednesday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel, with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery. Mr. Romeril died Sunday in his home at 4612 Stratford Avenue. He was born at Bushrod, and had lived here 52 years. He was with the Indianapolis Police Department 27 years, retiring in 1957.

Mr. Romeril was a member of the Retired Policemen's Association, Fraternal Order of Police, Veterans of World War I United States of America and Spencer (Ind.) Masonic Lodge. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edith May Romeril, and three sons, Conrad, Marvin, and Billy Romeril, a major in the Marion County, Sheriff's Department.

All are from Indianapolis. Marvin Merrill Marvin R. Merrill, 81, died yesterday in his home at 513 South Fourth Avenue, Beech Grove. He was born in Clinton County, and had lived at Beech Grove five years, Mr. Merrill was an assembly line worker with Delco-Remy Corporation at Anderson 31 years, retiring in 1960.

He was a member of United Auto Workers Union 662 at Anderson and Faith United Church of Christ. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Little and Sons Beech Grove Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Anderson. She was born at Champaign, 111., and had lived at Carmel most of her life. She moved to a Westfield nursing home three years ago. Mrs. Durr gave private piano and violin lessons in her home more than 20 years. She was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church at Carmel.

Survivors include two sons, Rex Durr of Carmel and Denny Durr of Noblesville, and a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Hill of Carmel. Rufus Long Services for Rufus Long, 77, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Willis Mortuary, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr.

Long died Sunday in his home at 867 West 29th Street. He was born at Hopkinsville, and had lived here four years. He was a laborer several years retiring in 1962. Mr. Long was a member of Spring Hill (Ky.) Baptist Church.

Bayh (D-Ind.) to cut short his comments last night at the last in a series of weekly seminars for Democratic City-County Council nominees. The senator wished the ticket well in the Nov. 4 election and requested its support in his bid for the party nomination for President.

Bayh will announce his candidacy formally here at 11:30 a.m. today. Last night's appearance came at the request of Rozelle Boyd, Democratic leader of the City-County Council who organized the seminars last June to indoctrinate Democratic council candidates in the issues and mechanics of city government.
