The Red Cross chapter also recognized Tim Foley and Tina Likens who donated 200 hours each.

In addition, special certificates were awarded to more than 150 local youth groups for a variety of Red Cross activities. Zoo est '79 Events Begin Next Sunday Zoofest 79, a series of single-day special events, will be held at the Indianapolis Zoo from May through August, beginning next Sunday, Mother's Day. The Mother's Day events will include appearances by folksinger Charlotte Daniels, who will present a history of Indiana folk music, and Mark Galbraith, who will demonstrate the art of pottery.

The first 500 women entering the zoo next Sunday will receive a daisy. He organized DePauw's pare-engineering and actuarial programs and was a fomer president of the Greencastle school board. Active in Masonry, he was the holder of the York Rite Cross of Honor.

In 1957 he received DePauw's Leather Medal as the person who made the greatest contribution to the university. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Blanche Bryant Greenleaf; and four daughters, Dr. Elizabeth A. Greenleaf, an Indiana University professor; Mrs.

Edith Aanderud of Portland, Mrs. David Smith of Terre Haute; and Mrs. John Hodshire of Valparaiso. Mrs. Lester Jones Services for Mrs.

Lester (Sally Jones, 43, 722 North Bosart Avenue, a retired laboratory technician, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Jones died Friday in her home. The Marion County Coroner is investigating.

Born in Knox County, Kentucky, Mrs. Jones lived here 28 years. She was a lab technician at John Sexton 4 Co. 10 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and a former member of Citizens Forum and the Near East Side Community Organization.

Surviving, besides her husband, are four daughters, Mrs. Geneva Mansfield, Mrs. Wanda Hawkins, Miss Patricia Jones and Miss Dale-Ellen Jones, all of Indianapolis. Xorman G. Britton Norman G.

Britton, 60, 3314 Allison Avenue, a retired fireman, died Saturday in Winona Memorial Hospital. A lifelong Indianapolis resident, Mr. Britton was with the Indianapolis Fire Department 22 years, retiring in 1968. He was a member of Englewood Masonic Lodge 715, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Indianapolis Shrine Horse Patrol, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, International Association of Fire Fighters, Retired Fire Fighters Club, Speedway 500 Golf Club, Danville Conservation Club and the Antelope Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Britton. Melvin K.

Tracht Memorial services for Melvin K. Tracht, 28, Indianapolis, an attorney with Ice Miller, Donadio Ryan legal firm the last four years, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Fianner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary. A native of Gary who lived here four years, he died Wednesday in his home. Mr.

Tracht was a graduate of DePauw University and Northwestern University Law School. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity at DePauw; the Indianapolis, Indiana and American bar associations; and Phi Beta Kappa. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha M. Tracht; his parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Melvin T. Tracht of Ogden Dunes; and a brother, Michael Tracht of Elkhart. Memorial contributions may be made to DePauw University or the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Carl Taylor Services for Carl Taylor, 77, 347 North Kenyon Street, who formerly owned Taylor Drapery Service for 30 years, will be held at 10 a.m.

Tuesday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with entomb-ment in Washington Park East Mausoleum. A native of Shelby County who lived here 45 years, Mr. Taylor died Friday in Community Hospital. Before entering the drapery business, he was employed by Delco Remy Division of General Motors Corp. in Anderson 15 years, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of Prospect Masonic Lodge and Prospect Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sylvia R. Taylor, and a daughter; Mrs.

Norma Hazelwood of Indianapolis. Mrs. Troutman Services for Mrs. Minnie E. Brashear Troutman, 89, Indianapolis, a retired housekeeper, will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Monday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Mrs. Troutman, the widow of Frank Troutman, died Friday in her home. A native of Boston, she lived here 70 years and was a housekeeper 25 years at Farm Bureau Insurance retiring in 1939. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Willa Troutman of Indianapolis.

Weber's Rites I Held Here April 28 Graveside services for Mrs. Jeannette Duval Weber, 71, a part-time resident of Indianapolis and Buffalo, N.Y., since 1974, were held April 28 in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Weber, a retired bank employee, 'died April 25 in Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo. I Born in New York City and educated in Europe, she began a long career in banking in 1929 as a translator in the foreign department of Buffalo's Marine Midland Bank.

She retired as senior commercial teller in 1974, and divided her time between Buffalo and Indianapo-, lis, where her daughter, Mrs. Robert A. (Eveline) Infanger, lives. Mrs. Weber, the widow of Carl A.

Weber, also had been a substitute language teacher at the State University of Buffalo. She did volunteer work at the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center and the Roswell Institute, a cancer research center. She supported the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Starlite Musicals and Clowes Hall, and was a member of the International Institute and the American Institute of Banking. She was a past president of the Buffalo French Club. A native of Indianapolis, he lived here most of his life, working for Bertsch Machine Shop in Cambridge City for years until his retirement about 20 years ago. Mr. Reed was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 5 in Cambridge City and of American Legion Post 169.

Mrs. Willa Wilkins Services for Mrs. Willa Wilkins, 83, 2161 Bellefontaine Street, the widow of Robert Wilkins, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Willis Mortuary, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. She died Friday in Winona Memorial Hospital.

Born at Nashville, she lived in Indianapolis 80 years. She was an organist at Macedonia Baptist Church, and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and Lott Arey Missionary Society. POPE Mr indpls, Fired By Company A security guard who was charged Friday with beating the woman he was hired to protect is not employed by Continental Security as he told police, Continental President Jack McFarland reported Saturday. McFarland said that Isiah D. Chunn, 35, 4500 block of Candletree Drive, was discharged in February after he had entered into a private security arrangement with the woman without the agency's knowledge or consent. The woman has identified three suspects in the murder last Oct.

25 of pharmacist John A. Stockdale in the drugstore at which she worked. McFarland said Continental had assigned Chunn to work as a security guard at the pharmacy but did not assign him to protect the woman. Chunn appeared Saturday in Municipal Court, Room 9, and his case was continued until 9 a.m. May 24.

His bond remains at $55,000. Museum Serendipity Slated For May 18 The public is invited to participate in a day of fun at the Indiana State Museum from 3:30 to 9 p.m. May 18 as the organization celebrates International Museum Day. Named Indiana State Museum Serendipity, the event will include square dancing; demonstrations of early tool-making and weaving; and lectures on identification of rocks and woodland animals, and the background on old campgrounds. A collection of fully restored Indiana-made antique automobiles will be displayed in the museum's parking lot.

Admission to the program is free. Goodwill Celebration Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, now in its 49th year, will hold open house this week in celebration of National Goodwill Week. The public is invited to visit the rehabilitation center at 1635 West Michigan Street. Tours will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Pope Floyd E. Pope, 67, Indianapolis, a pressman for Inland Container Corp. 35 years until his retirement in 1975, died Saturday in a local nursing home. Born at English, he lived in Indianapolis 52 years. He was a member of the Conservation Club and First Assembly of God in Speedway.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Conkle Lyndhurst Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nellie Pope; two sons, Marvin and Robert Pope, both of Indianapolis, and two daughters, Mrs. Norma Walters of Indianapolis and Mrs.

Viola Francis of Oxnard, Calif. Claude P. Pruitt Services for Claude P. Pruitt, 80, 7544 Alice Avenue, a retired employee of Wege Marble and Tile will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with entombment In Washington Park East Mausoleum.

He died Thursday in his home. Bom in Indianapolis, Mr. Pruitt moved to Edinburgh as a youngster, then returned here in 1928. He was a member of Englewood Christian Church and its Opportunity Class, and was active in four bowling leagues. He retired from Wege in 1965.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jeanette Pruitt. Mrs. Irene Young Mrs. Irene Young, 75, 5353 East Raymond Street, the widow of Clarence D.

Young, died Saturday in a local nursing home. Born at Carrollton, she lived in Indianapolis six years. Services will be held at 10 a m. Tuesday in G.H. Herrmann South East Street Funeral Home, with burial in New Crown Cemetery.

Stevenson, 85, Indianapolis, the widow of Oscar Stevenson, died Saturday in St. Francis Hospital Center. Born in Newport, she lived in Indianapolis most of her life. Services will be held at 10 a m. Tuesday in N.F.

Mrs. Blaine Flick Services for Mrs. Blaine (Thelma Flick, 56, 6232 Raleigh Drive, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs.

Flick died Friday in her home. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Survivors, besides her husband, include two sons, Lawrence B. and Ted C. Flick, both of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Kirkham Mooresville, Ind. Mrs. Dorothy Kirkham, 82, Mooresville, a former Morgan County schoolteacher and employee of Kendrick Hospital in Martinsville, died Saturday in a Martinsville nursing home. She was the widow of Harry Kirkham.
