Weaver, 87, founded funeral homes Star report Services for Hugh W. Weaver, 87, Danville, founder of Weaver Funeral Homes, will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 13 in Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home, Danville. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m.

Jan. 12. Burial will be in Crown Hill Mausoleum. Mr. Weaver died Jan.

9. He became a funeral director in 1940 and founded Weaver Funeral Home in Danville in 1949 and Weaver Funeral Home in Clayton in 1958. He operated the funeral homes until 1981, when Ron and Jenny Randolph purchased them. Mr. Weaver served two terms as Center Township trustee in Hendricks County and was a former member and president of the Danville School Board and a board director for Citizens Savings and Loan and Security Sav- Robert Junior Abner 76, Richmond, died Jan.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13 at Fountain Square Mortuary with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 12. Burial: Washington Park East Cemetery. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marguerite (Coleman) Plummer; and sisters, Carolyn Hapner and Sherline Schwindler.

Survivors: step-mother, Frances Plummer; brother, Richard L. Plummer of Marietta, GA; and several nieces and nephews. William T. Bailey 81, of Rushville, died January 8, 2004. Born July 22, 1922 he was the son of Jesse C.

Myrtle Buchanan Bailey. He married Dathula Reece in 1948 and she preceded him in death in 1993. He was retired from Curtis Brothers after 25 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and member of St.

Paul United Methodist Church; American LeActive in the former Civil Defense. Survivors include sons, William David Bailey of Kissimmee, FL, Michael (wife Susan) of Milton, IN John of Indianapolis; daughters, Melissa A. Hardin of Fishers, IN Mary Beth Clines of Rushville; sister, Jean (Mrs. Reno) Gosser of Rushville; six grandchildren two greatgrandchildren also survive. Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. January 12, 2004 at Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, with Rev. Charles Aigner officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. Friends may call January 11 from 4 to 8 p.m.

He retired after 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. He also retired from the Defense Information School at Ft. Harrison. He graduated and taught at the Indiana Business College, and was a member of the Air Force Sergeant's Association.

He welder repairman Truck Obituaries Roger Dean Chase 65, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2004. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 13 at 3 p.m. at All Souls Unitarian I Church, located at 5805 East 56th Street, Indianapolis. Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.

Born June 24, 1938 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of Paul and Thelma Chase. Mr. Chase earned his Bachelor's degree from Indiana University in 1960, and subsequently earned his Masters in business administration also from Indiana University in 1963. Mr. Chase served in the United States Army as a Finance Officer.

In 1964 he began his career in financial services at Raffensperger Hughes and Company in Indianapolis. He co the investment banking firm of Chambers Chase in 1 1971 and continued as a principal in that firm until 1985. He then founded Chase Investment Research, Inc. promoting and marketing his own fundamental investment philosophy where he served as chairman until his death. In addition, Mr.

Chase served as director of Chase Ergonomics Inc. located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also served as past president of Indianapolis Security Traders Association, a member of the Indianapolis Bond Club, and an associate member of Society of Financial Analysts. Mr. Chase was a past director of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and sang as a member of the choir for over five years.

Mr. Chase served on the endowment committee of the All Souls Unitarian Church and sang in its choir for over 25 years. He supported his alma mater as a member of the Indiana University Alumni Association, Sigma Chi Fraternity, The Well House Society, Hoosier Hundred, and the 12th Man Club. Mr. Chase always endeavored to continue to learn throughout his life.

As a member of Mensa and its elite Intertel, Roger Chase was known as a diverse individual with a love for knowledge. Roger Chase is survived by his wife, Annette Mitchell Chase; son, Roger D. Chase, II; daughter, Jennifer Ucchino; and grandchildren, Hannah Ucchino, Graham Ucchino, Hailey Ucchino, Mitchell Ucchino, and Emma' Chase. Roger is also survived by his brother, Frank N. Chase of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and stepmother, Lois Chase of Bedford Indiana.

THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR I SEE WHAT HAPPENS Sarah Lindley Ehrich 82, died Jan. 8, 2004 in loving care. She was born on Feb.

15, 1921 in Indianapolis, where she spent most of her life. She attended public school in Indianapolis and graduated from Shortridge High School in 1938. She went on the Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, graduating in 1942 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. While at Swarthmore she became known as Sally. Sally married William Reed Ehrich on May 2, 1943, during World War II while her husband was serving in the Armed Forces.

She worked briefly as a customer representative at Indiana Bell Telephone Company. While she and her husband were in Kentucky during the war. Sally worked as a Dental Assistant in Post Hospital at Camp Breckenridge. Following the war, Sally entered into volunteer work, joining the Indianapolis Junior League and the Association of University Woman. She became active in PTO at Public School 70, becoming president of that organization.

Later she involved herself with the PTA at Shortridge High School, where she worked diligently to keep Shortridge as one of the top scholastic high schools in the nation. She was instrumental in the founding of Noble School for retarded children and became an active volunteer for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Indiana. She was a long time member and past president of the Indianapolis Woman's Club as well as a member of The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Indiana. Sally was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was a and past president of St. Ursula's Guild and a faithful member of the Altar Guild.

Under her expert leadership, the Library Committee of St. Ursula's Guild, developed the Parish Library into a first class facility containing several hundred books. Contributions may be made to the Altar Guild of Trinity Church or to the Library Fund of Trinity Church. She is survived by her husband, William; as well as their 3 children, Thomas Lindley Ehrich of Durham, NC, Anne Ehrich Riley of Indianapolis and David William Ehrich of Seattle, WA; and 7 grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.

She was born March 13, 1916 in Fairland, Indiana. Mrs. Griggs worked over 35 years for State of Indiana Employment Security Division, retiring in 1981. She is survived by her husband, Lester Griggs; one step-son, Durwin Griggs; three nieces; one nephew; and three great nephews. There will be no calling.

Elkins Henderson 91, Indianapolis, died January 10, 2004. Hazel was a homemaker and member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 13 at Carlisle Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 12.

Burial: Floral Park Cemetery. Hazel was the widow of Walter Y. Henderson. Survivors: daughter, Betty J. Meece; sons, James Gerald Kenneth W.

He was a member of Danville Christian Church, where he served as a deacon, elder and trustee. He was a charter member, past president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Danville Rotary Club. He also was a 33rd-degree Mason and was a 62-year member of Danville Masonic Lodge and the Danville chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. He also was a life member of Scottish Rite of the Indianapolis Valley. He was a 1939 graduate of Indiana University and a 1940 graduate of the Indiana School of Mortuary Science.

She married Don M. Dillon on April 24, 1941 and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. Survivors include; a son, Steven M.

Dillon; a brother, John Leahy; a sister, Ruth Hodowanski; two grandchildren; and four great grandaughters. Stephen Douglas Dillon 50, of Bruceville, passed away Friday, January 9, 2004. He was born May 6, 1953 in Vincennes, Indiana, son to Betty and Gerald Dillon, both preceded him in death. Mr. Dillon was married to Dale Hancock Dillon on April 6, 1974. He was Knox County Emergency Management Agency Director for over 20 years and was Chairman of the Knox County Local Emergency Planning Committee.

Mr. Dillon was a founding member of the Knox County Special Police in which he was a deputy. graduated from North Knox High School in 1971 and from Ivy Tech. He was a licensed Architect with Donovan Donavan for 29 years. He served on the North Knox School Board for 10 years and was a licensed high school referee.

He participated in Jaycees, where he won Man of the Year. He served on the Red Cross Board and was an advanced EMT, where he worked the Pan Am Games and Indianapolis 500. He had also taught architectural classes at Vincennes University. In addition to his wife, Dale Dillon, survivors include one son, Daniel (Jessica) Dillon of Indianapolis; one daughter, Stephany Dillon of Bruceville; one grandson, Hayden Patrick Dillon; two brothers Clarence "Bud" Dillon of Bloomington, Rick Dillon of Oaktown; two sisters, Terri LaNae Dillon and LaDonna Green, both of Vincennes. Services will be held at First Church of God, Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 10 a.m., with Rev.
