The body is being returned to Bed Charles R. Walter, 73, former Indianapolis resident, died of a heart attack yesterday while attending a horse race at Churchill Downs, Louisville, Ky. Born at Corydon, Mr. Walter left Indianapolis in 1932 to become plant superintendent for Monarch Storage Battery Co. in Philadelphia.

In Indianapolis he was general inspector of the Prest-O-Lite Corp. plant 19 years. He was a member of Capital City Masonic Lodge and Carrollton Avenue Evangelical and Reformed Church. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, Louisville, with graveside services at 11:30 a.m.

Saturday in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis. Survivors are the widow, Hester Black Walter; a daughter, Miss Anne C. Walter, Chi Irvington Funeral Home, and at 9 a.m. in St. Philip Nerl Church with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
