Cloutier memorial is tonight rites to be Thursday 1 Russell L. Cole, 68. Indianapolis, former executive vice president of the Indiana Grain Feed Association, died Monday. Cole was with the association 20 years, retiring In 1982.

A 1942 graduate of Purdue University, he was the recipient of its Agriculture Distinguished Alumni Award. He was a member of Gamma Sigma Delta fraternity. He was named a Sagamore of the Wabash in 1982 and was a member of the Columbia Club, Indiana 4-H Foundation, and the Indiana Farmer Retailer Com mittee. Cole was the past president of both the Agriculture Association Executive Council and the Murat Shrine Trap and Skeet Club. He was also a member of the Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite and Naphtali Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Indianapolis Press Club and the American Association of Retired Persons.

He was a member and trustee of Irvington Presbyterian Church and was a Navy veteran of World WarH. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Shirley Brothers East Washington Memorial Cha-pel. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Saturday in St. Benedict Catholic Church In Terre Haute. Calling will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday In Callahan Funeral Home, East Chapel. Terre Haute.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Cloutier, who died Monday, served as president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 1977 to 1982. He began his career with Hulman Co. in 1926. He became a close personal friend of the late Tony Hulman and succeeded him as president of the Speedway in 1977.

He yielded that position to John Cooper, but then returned to the post when Cooper resigned just prior to the opening of the track in May 1982. The wiry, self-effacing Cloutier was part of the Hulman group that purchased the Speedway from Eddie Rickenbacher in November 1945. He was named treasurer of the corporation that year. Over the years Cloutier was Hulman's right-hand man as the Speedway slowly evolved Into the most modern racing facility in the world. He personally authorized construction of suites Bruce Doan SPENCER, Ind.

Houchins Robert O. Houchins. 70. Indianapolis, died today In the West 10th Street Division of Roudebush VA Medical Center. Houchins worked as a chef six years at the Holiday Inn South.

Prior to that, he worked 10 years for the U.S. Postal Service. He also was a technical sergeant for the Air Force 21 years, serving in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the Irvington Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Myron R. "Mike" Kirsh, 59. died Monday In his home. Kirsh worked as vice president of the Indiana Finance Co. from 1953 to 1978 when the company was sold.

Since 1978 he was president of The Lexington Leasing Corp. Kirsh also was vice president of the Howard Johnson Motor Lodges in Indianapolis. He was a land developer with K.S.N. Development Co. 1 He was a 1951 graduate of Butler University where he was a charter member and co-founder of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity.

He was a member of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation and was former vice president of the Temple Brotherhood there. Kirsh was a member of B'Nal B'rlth Lodge 58 and was a coach for Little League sports over 30 years. Kirsh was active In fund-raising for the Jewish Welfare Federation. He was co-founder of the The ater-ln-the-Woods in 1958 and was founder of the Butler University dramatics department. Services will be at 10 a.m.
