He was an Army veteran of World War II. Services were today in Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel. Survivors wife Leota F. McVay Ross; son Stephen J. Ross; daughters Bonnie S.

Dellinger, Diana K. Ross; brother Ralph L. Ross; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren. Arnold D. Ward, ex-bank official B.

Nelson Deranian, ex-corporate lawyer B. Nelson Deranian, 84, Indianapolis, died Saturday at his home. Mr. Deranian had practiced corporate law in Washington D.C. and had also advised U.S.

Senate committee members before retiring. He was a veteran of World War II and had served in the military intelligence division. Mr. Deranian was a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law and was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

There will be no services or calling. Flanner Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary is handling local arrangements. Survivors brother Dr. Paul Deranian; sisters Jane D. Reilly, Lucie D.

Gabriel; two nieces; three nephews; two great-nieces; seven great-nephews. James Childrey James Childrey, 79, Indianapolis, died Thursday in Wishard Hospital. Mr. Childrey worked for Ford Motor Co. and was retired.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in New Crown Cemetery. There will be no calling. Little Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove, is handling arrangements. Survivors daughters Judith Cabbege, Sandy Childrey; sister Alberta Golden Sparks.

Clara A. Mindeman Clara A. Aschbrenner Mindeman, 95, Speedway, died Sunday in Mid-West Medical Center. Mrs. Mindeman was a homemaker and a member of Speedway United Methodist Church and Speedway Eastern Star.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Services will be at 8 p.m. Walter K. Smith, ex-commissioner MARTINSVILLE, Ind. Services for Walter K.

Smith, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church with calling from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Costin Funeral Chapel and an hour before services in the church. Mr. Smith, a former Morgan County commissioner, died Friday.

A Republican, he served as Morgan County Commissioner six years, his term ending in the early 1960s. While in office, he was instrumental in the building of Morgan County Memorial Hospital. He also served as a justice of the peace in Martinsville. He was the widower of Imogene Hicks Smith and Harriett Hanna Pearcy Smith. Ted C. Mauch Ted C. Mauch, 68, Indianapolis, died Thursday in St. Vincent Hospital.

Mr. Mauch worked for Allison Gas Turbine Division of General Motors 32 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Millersville Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite and was a World War II Army veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Services were today in Leppert Hurt Mortuary.

Survivors wife Caroline Hummel "Myrt" Mauch; sister Eleanor "Muff" Retmier. Jack H. Loudermilk MORGANTOWN, Ind. Services for Jack H. Loudermilk, 76, formerly of Indianapolis, will be at 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday in Forest Lawn Wilson-St. Pierre Funeral Home, Greenwood, with calling until 9 tonight. Mr. Loudermilk, who died Saturday in Brown County Community Health Center, Nashville, owned and managed the Jack H. Loudermilk Insurance Agency, Indianapolis, 45 years, retiring in 1989.

Previously, he worked at International Harvester Co. He was a member of Irvington Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine and the Arnold Douglas Ward, 78, a retired Indianapolis bank official, died Saturday in St. Vincent Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Episcopal Church with calling from 5 to 8 p.m.

Tuesday in Flanner Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary. He had worked for Peoples Bank Trust retiring as senior vice president in 1979. Mr. Ward was an Army veteran of World War II and a graduate of Indiana University. He was a vestry member of the church and a member of Kiwanis.

He was the widower of Lois B. Jackson Ward. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Mausoleum. Survivors daughters Lucinda J.

Services for Estel M. Grange McWilliams, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home at Plainfield, with graveside rites follow ing at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Calling will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Mrs. McWilliams, formerly of Plainfield, died Saturday. She was a member of Mount Tabor Primitive Baptist Church in Fayette and a 50-year member of Plainfield Eastern Star. Russell A. Jensen PLAINFIELD, Ind. Services for Russell A. Jensen, 55, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Conkle Avon Funeral Home with calling from 2 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday. Mr. Jensen, who died Friday in Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville, was a machinist at Allison Gas Turbine Division of General Motors, Indianapolis, 13 years. previously, ne was a machinist at the Chevrolet Division from 1976 to 1980. Earlier, he served in the U.S.

Navy 21 years, retiring in 1976 as a chief petty officer. He was an assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 594. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6128, American Legion Post 0331 and Disabled American Veterans Post 3. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Mausoleum.

Tuesday in Conkle Avon Funeral Home with calling until 8 tonight. Mr. Gowan, who died Friday in Regency Place, was a photographer for Meridian Mortgage Co. 15 years, retiring in 1980. Previously, he was a machinist for Link-Belt Division of FMC Corp.

25 years, retiring in 1965. He also worked part time as a sign carver. He was a charter member of Pine Island (Fla.) Moose Lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. He was the widower of Hulda Gowan and Arbulah Gowan.

Later, he served as concert and conference director of the Boca Raton (Fla.) Bible Conference 13 years. A member of the National Religious Broadcasters, he preached in many states and in 40 countries. He was a charter member of the Mission Aviation Fellowship and a member of Prairie Baptist Church, Noblesville. Cecil Miller, auto salesman BARGERSVILLE, Ind. Services for J. Cecil Miller, 82, were today in Vandivier-Tudor Bargersville Chapel. Mr. Miller died Friday.

He had been an auto salesman and the owner and operator of Miller Auto Sales in Bargersville from 1962 until retiring in 1990. Gerking, 94, Indianapolis, were today in Conkle Lynhurst Funeral Home. Mr. Gerking, who died Friday in Americana South, was a partner 13 years in Parcel Dispatch, retiring in 1966. Previously, he was a franchise dealer for Diamond Trucks several years and worked for General Motors Corp. He was a member of Seerley Creek Christian Church and Bridgeport Masonic Lodge.
